The gang talk about the murders. There have been no murders since last week when Tuck was dusted. Miss Winterborne seems to think that he was the culprit. Oliver is not so sure. The three help Martin and Marissa when Bettie and Veronika were picking on them at lunch. Rose showed them the pictures they had taken when they were with Coach Andrews. This caused Bettie and Veronika to back off quickly.They visit Ms. Winterborne and nothing much is going supernatural wise. She advised them to have fun and do a patrol on their way home. Also, Oliver mentioned that his brother had a new boyfriend, Miguel. This made Scottie jealous.
Rose, Scottie, and Oliver decide to go to the Copper since there were no threats looming. They ordered some drinks and enjoyed the loud rock music. They see Bettie, Veronika, and the Goth girls there. Rose sensed that Nail was there and the two ended up making out in a dark corner. They rejoin the others where Oliver and Nail make snide comments back and forth.
After they leave the Copper, the three friends go on patrol in the cemetery. They hear screaming and find Martin and Marissa being chased by 3 vampires. There was a male vampire, Grandma Vamp, and Baby Vamp. The gang made short work of them and Rose staked Baby Vamp as she ran away. Rose then heard music behind the cemetery. She finds a circus much to her surprise. The boys catch up to her and they are swayed by the circus music to enter. Rose tries to prevent them, but they see Martin and Marissa enter. They had been acting funny and very full of themselves. They find themselves separated as they entered. Both Rose and Scottie find themselves in the Tunnel of Love. although at different times. They both see a red gem that make them think everyone is hot.
Oliver sees several of the gems in various spots around the circus but remains unaffected. He does run into the Ringmaster of the circus. He helps Oliver find Rose and Scottie and sends them on their way. He tells them to come back the next day and gives them tickets.They kind of forget that Martin and Marissa are still in the circus. Rose ends up going to see Cherub and they go out for coffee and a makeout session. Scottie goes over to Oliver's house and sleeps with Jason's boyfriend, Miguel. Oliver catches him and tells him to leave, which prompts Scottie to go outside where he finishes up with Miguel in the backyard.
Ms. Winterborne met up with Oliver (because he had told her what happened the night before) and they rallied the gang to go investigate the circus while it was open. They find a large crowd at the circus. The gang splits up and separate Rose and Scottie so they won't mack on each other. At this point they even thought Oliver and Ms. Winterborne were hot. They soon realize that the gems are what is making everyone act weird. Unfortunately, Ms. Winterborne gets affected by the gem in the Big Top. She becomes very angry at Rose and the two get separated. After Scottie eats a lot of hotdogs, the boys go to the Freak Show were Oliver finds out what is going on from a grieving man named Malthus. The stones infected people with the 7 Deadly Sins. He also warns that the Ringmaster is a demon that feasts on people's souls. The only way to defeat him is to destroy all the stones. Oliver and Scottie take the gem in the Freak Show and run for it. Rose decides to leave and go make out with Cherub again, but she sees the boys and finds out what is going on. They hatch a plan to get all the gems.
They get most of the gems from around the circus, (Scottie even seduces an overweight carny so Rose can get one of the gems). They head to the Big Top and find the Ringmaster and several evil clowns. He had Ms. Winterborne, Martin, and Marissa captive. He threatened to unleash a lion on them. Oliver devises a plan. He has Rose distract the Ringmaster. He asks Scottie to free the others, but Scottie plays with the lion instead and gets locked in the cage by the clowns. He frees himself quickly. The battle goes on and Oliver finally gets the last gem with his telekinesis. Rose keeps the ringmaster off of him while he casts a spell to destroy the gems. This causes everyone to return to normal and kills the Ringmaster and the clowns. Everything starts glowing brightly and the gang runs for it. Rose had to carry both Scottie and Oliver because they were unconscious. Scottie had been knocked out in battle and Oliver passed out after his spell. Ms. Winterborne takes everyone home. Jason tells Scottie to stay away from his brother because he found out what happened between Scottie and Miguel.
